The video introduces Cody, an AI coding assistant that leverages advanced technologies like LLMS, Source Graph Search, and Sourcegraph’s code graph. Cody is designed to assist in four main areas: onboarding, writing code, testing code, and bug fixing. During onboarding, Cody helps users understand new code by explaining its purpose and functionality. For writing code, it can generate context-aware code snippets or queries.
In testing, Cody simplifies the process by creating unit tests from code snippets. When it comes to fixing bugs, Cody identifies code smells and offers automatic fixes or suggestions for improvement. The tool aims to boost coding productivity by providing real-time assistance, generating code, and offering feedback. Cody is available as a VS Code extension and on the Sourcegraph platform, inviting developers to use and provide feedback on this versatile coding support tool.

nice work
it only looks at your entire project if you have an enterprise account, which starts at 5k a year. more tiers and options are needed. id love to try it but 5k is beyond reason for alot of us. even if the 5k were just in monthly installments. would be more reasonable
thats a shame… that was the reason I even needed a tool like this lol but no way I can convince management….
Yeah, it’s ridiculous. It’s either free tier or enterprise, and the free tier is really crippled and I won’t pay 5K for an enterprise plan as a single developer, nor will any of my clients or employers do. As we say in all FPS gaming, “greed is what gets you killed”.
Very cool
I’m giving it a try… like I have all other code AI assistents, so far it’s amazing, number 1
Could we please have an online version?
You got it! https://sourcegraph.com/cody
Is it available in neovim
Experimental: https://github.com/sourcegraph/sg.nvim
@@Sourcegraph installed it and it works great, it’s awesome! Thank you!
thank you for this awesome product
I have been using Sourcegraph’s Cody tool for a while now and have found it to be an excellent productivity booster. I have recommended it to several friends to use cody as their coding assistant. The current issue with cody is the rate limit of 50 messages per day is quite low and exhausts quickly. Is there any way to increase the rate limit, or is there a pricing tier that would allow for more chat completions?
Why is the video blurry, even at 1080p? I had to actually doublecheck if I was actually using HD. It feels like 480p.
